Processing flow
We aim for proper recycling of waste solar panels to lessen landfill pressure, especially given the recent widespread application and innovation in solar energy.
Waste solar panels contain 65%-75% silicon glass, 10%-15% aluminum frames, 10% plastic, and 3%-5% conductive materials. Proper handling methods can increase the recycling rate of solar panels to 90%. Through a series of processes including disassembly, crushing, and sorting, useful materials such as glass, copper wire, and aluminum metal can be produced and sent to appropriate manufacturers to be remade into useful products.
